Biorenewables expert Darren Phillips to speak at Waste to Wealth event

The Biorenewables Development Centre have announced that Darren Phillips, a Chartered Chemist and Senior Process Technologist will be a speaker at the upcoming Waste to Wealth session on Day 1 of the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC) conference in March.




With over a decade of experience in downstream processing and research and development, Darren has played a pivotal role in developing sustainable solutions in process development and scale-up. Currently pursuing a Biology PhD at the Centre for Novel Agricultural Products (CNAP), University of Sheffield Darren's research focuses on studying the variation of ice binding proteins in commercial carrot cultivars.


As the founder of IBP Ventures, Darren is at the forefront of applying innovative solutions using ice binding proteins to address real-world challenges in the fields of food, medicine, and agriculture. His expertise and commitment to sustainability make him a valuable voice in the quest for more environmentally friendly and efficient solutions.
